Hospice of South Louisiana is located at 205 Bayou Gardens Boulevard, Suite E in Houma, Louisiana. Hospice of South Louisiana has been providing comfort & symptom management to the community for over 30 years.
Our office hours are 8:00AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. A Registered Nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, holidays included. Referrals or inquiries can be called in at any time.
Your care will be provided by our local team of medical professionals, including our Hospice Physicians, Dr. Michael Marcello, Dr. Kerry Shaver, and Dr. Sarah Knight. Our Nurses have many years of Nursing and Hospice Care experience. Besides your physician, our Medical Director Dr. Jules Dupont actively participates in your care. He is assisted by our Physician Designee, Dr. Camille Pitre.
Our service area includes the following parishes:

When to choose hospice care?
When a patient is diagnosed with a terminal illness and the prognosis is measured in months, it is then that hospice care should be considered. Also, when a patient has a chronic disease process that has progressed to end-stage, hospice care may be appropriate. Patients have the right to choose the hospice of their choice.
How to obtain our services?
A physician orders hospice when he or she feels the patient meets eligibility and will benefit most from this type of care. Ask your physician how we can help or call us directly to get more information about the services your loved ones deserve. Remember patients have the right to choose the hospice of their choice.
